    Is there any safest country to do internet surfing? AVG anti virus conducted the research to get list of most safest and most dangerous place when doing internet surfing. In result, seven of the ten safest countries are in the African country

    The researchers compiled a list of how many attacks caused by virus & malicious script / program (malware) in each country. They collected data from the 127 million computers in 144 countries to determine the incidence of attack.

    From those data, the AVG researchers conclude that Sierra Leone was the safest countries in terms of Internet access. Average attack rate in this country is an attack for every 692 Internet users. Nigeria ranks in second with one attack every 442 internet users who are online.

    Sierra Leone is the safest country for internet access because  the low level of Internet users in the West African country. Quoted from the AVG site, Monday (August 23, 2010), although broadband access and Internet usage in African countries is low and limited, but that condition makes it really the safest place.

    The Caucasus region is considered to be the one region with most vulnerable to online attacks. As for Turkey, Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan are considered the highest risk of virus and malware attacks.

    United States (US) itself, sit at number nine with an attack every 48 while United Kingdom (UK) Internet surfers are in position 30 with an attack every 63 Internet surfers.

    • Never store any username and password and any login credentials on any browser where being asked to (always click NO / Never Store Password without thinking)
    • Never giveaway any username and password to anyone including to your good friends and colleagues
    • This is important, LOG OUT from ALL of your login sessions (such as email and social media accounts) and close the browser once you are finished.
