    Twitter New Features : Tab Activity and Upload Photos

    For those of you who use Twitter, there are two new features that you can use. They are Activity Tab and Upload Photo on Tweet.

    Both of these new features are part of the improvisation and redesigned of new Twitter on their website.

    Twitter users now can upload a photo on tweet and the uploaded photo will be displayed as a preview before you submit it.

    Activity Tab is focused to show all of your activities and find out what is happening in Twitter that associated with the your Twitter profile.

    Upload Photo On Tweet

    This feature has actually been released a few months ago, but has not been availabel to all Twitter users. Only users from certain countries who can use it.

    But now all users can enjoy the upload photo feature on tweet. If you want to include a photo to support the tweet, you can click on a camera icon on the bottom left of status box to add any photo. The maximum size for an uploaded photo is 3 MB.

    In developing the photo upload feature on tweet, Twitter has working together with Photobucket. But there are some who doubt whether this feature is also equipped with adequate privacy protection.

    Twitter explain on it's official blog, that each user can protect their account. So that each photo that has been uploaded will not appear in the search and not visible to the public. EXIF data (such as location, device, meta data, etc.) for each uploaded photo will also be cleaned, so they can not be seen by other users.

    In the near future, Twitter will make a gallery to display all the photos uploaded by users, both on Twitter and on third-party services that working with Twitter. For smartphone users, this photo upload service will soon be available for the iPhone and Android.

    Username and Activity Tab

    As a Twitter user you will get 2 new tabs in your profile page. Tab @ Username and Activity. The presence of these new tab are intended to help you more easily discover what is happening related to your Twitter profile.

    Tab @ Username will likely replace the existing tab named @ mentions. This tab can be said has multi purposes to serve as a dashboard that contains all the notifications, tweets, retweets and new followers.

    Tab Activity serves as a News Feed for news or latest activities information like the News Feed on Facebook. This tab will display the retwteet activity, favorites, and new followers. Activity Tab seems like almost the same as @ Username Tab, but the difference is that the Tab @ username will contain things related to you and Tab Activity associated with people who you follow.

    "It provides a rich new source of discovery by highlighting the latest Favorites, Retweets, and Follows from the people you follow on Twitter – all in one place, " said Twitter on their official blog post.

    Tab Activity and @ Username at this time can only be enjoyed by users from certain countries. If you can't find these new tab features on your Twitter profile, please be patient. Twitter will release it gradually to all countries in the world.
