Starting With Marketing (SWM), the Journey Began

Maybe it is a little late to post this topic, but it's better than never.

Ok, when we talk about marketing, you will think about some products or services to sell to people and make money from it. Basically, it is. but you must know what people want and pick / create the right product / service.

Frustration

After that, we want to market it and expect that people will buy and we can earn some money. Maybe it's the simple explanation to what about marketing it is. But, you know, 100% result of 99% people is not as we expected.

I do have very hard time that all of my effort and time didn't pay back. In fact, I am grow deeper in debt and had more frustration. That's why I think I will need a mentor to guide directly, interact, and make me feel save as I go through my journey to achieve my goals.

So, Dean Holland is my only answer and he is the one that fully understand of all problems the newbies have including their limited budget.

The First Week - Build a Blog

On first week, Dean Holland as my mentor taught about the very basic part. He taught about how to choose and get your domain name, installing WordPress, search and setting plugins, add new posts and pages, and much much more than that.

For many people that get used of this basic stuff, maybe it's not that interesting. We as Dean Holland's students get surprised on this first week already, because he invite one of his best buddy that get highly reputation and earn a comfort living with his WordPress blogs for years to help us .

That is one of many exciting things to have Dean Holland as my mentor. I am so lucky to get in his mentoring with the lowest price ever compared to other IM gurus that charge thousands of dollars to be your mentor.

He is fully understand what the newbies problems in IM at average daily life. That is why Dean Holland is so very very different.

The Secret Guy

Ok, get back to building blog, the secret guy gave one of his best product to us for free. Yep, you read that right. He is even helping us to setting and build our blog directly if we have some problem or desperate with all tech stuff.

The most best part is this secret guy have answered all of our question regarding to build and setting blog. That is for me, nothing more important than the expert who answer all of my problem and question.

That's the recap for 1st week of Dean Holland Mentoring.

The 2nd Week - Socialize

In this module, we learn about several social media sites. If you have been in part of social media sites, you may actually familiar with some of them like Twitter and Facebook.

But do you know how to make money with them? That is the question when I tap my feet into module 2 door that have a headline named "Social Slaughter".

Before entered, I was expected that Dean will show how he (already done) make money with social media sites like Twitter and Facebook and think that I would doing the same. I am imagine that I will got many followers and fans and easily make money from them . But I am absolutely wrong 100%.

Marketing, Not Selling

Guess what? Dean taught us that what we are learning is Marketing Not Selling. First, I am confused what is behind that line.

But as I go through this module, the more understand I am what is Dean really mean. Social media is NOT the place for money making ways. It is only for connecting people, party, making friends, and building trust.

If you want to make money with social media without basic principle to making friends and build trust, you will be screwed and even not make a single friend ever. It is because people basically hate to be used  or sold. I believe you are too .

So the question is, is it a big hype or scam that many internet marketer is raking thousands bucks easily from their social media sites followers and fans?

This is what I am gonna tell you my friend. The man who became succeed and make a comfort living from social media indeed is true and nothing wrong with him. But, the only question here is, how that could be, isn't it?

Gaining Trust and Reputation

Well, the key is  to make friends and build their trust as much as possible. I mean trust that you are not take any advantage upon them. Honesty is the important part of it. If you are lie / try to fool people,  it will be detected very quickly.

You are not only make your friends stay away from you, but the words will be spread like super sonic wave around internet. You knew that the good reputation is far more slowly spread than the bad one. Bad people will soon became infamous in record time than the good one.

So be careful with your friend and people who already trust you. You don't want to lost them, don't you?

Why I am shared this with my readers is because basically I don't want to keep this to myself and Dean's students about what I have learned. As far, Dean's ways and mentoring have change my mind and my behavior.

The internet is indeed the biggest source of information and cover everything on what's in this planet. But you should know the principle and how to treat the internet the good way, so it will treat you the good way too .
